I lead the development of FIM Portal, WRF
Portal and WRF Domain
Wizard, graphical front ends for the WRF model.
WRF Portal is part of the HPCC (high performance computing
center) funded MAPP project (Modeling and Assimilation Portability
Project). In this role I've developed a Java webstart application
and mySQL database and have collaborated with GSD staff such as Chris Harrop,
Paula McCaslin, Dan Schaffer, Mark Govett, and Jacques Middlecoff, as well as LEAD developer Craig Mattocks (UNC).
I'm developing a prototype search engine for meterological datasets using Java web services,
THREDDS catalogs and WCS (web coverage service), and JSPs, Servlets, and mySQL. I've created
a website for this Data Locator project here.
